First time out to sea!

Our first adventure took us a little over 20 miles out to sea where we learned what not to do when trying to catch a mooring ball! Do not drop the pole!!!! Luckily we had a second one and were able to get the one in the water and attach the boat to the mooring ball quickly! It will take some practice. It was a beautiful day and a great first experience.

Being new at this is a little stressful, but mostly it is a way for us to enjoy our time together by doing something we are so very excited about.

That night as we enjoyed the company of some new friends from the marina, clouds rolled in and we had a wonderful show of rain, darkening skies and then a gorgeous sunset.

Life is good!

Starting to feel a little more at home on Sweet Ride.

Meow!
We brought Andy, Christopher's beautiful Ragdoll cat on board. It took him a good hour to relax and stop panting, but then he got comfortable knowing he was with us and that there was no vet in this strange new place. I did not get a good picture, but there will be many opportunities to come. I am sure he will be sitting in the window observing the birds go by and enjoying all the cozy corners of the boat. He seemed very content by the end of the day.

After celebrating with friends and a little Champagne last weekend, Christopher had to do some traveling for work, so I got to cozy up the boat. :)

I also got one of my dogs, Charlie on board to see if he can adapt to boat life! He liked it!!!
The plan is to run the boat to The Isle of Shoals this weekend. Yay!

The adventure begins!

 Wohoo!!

There is nothing like seeing your boat coming home after being delivered by a very capable crew of three. It took 11 days from Florida to New Hampshire. We anxiously awaited Sweet Ride's arrival and when we caught a glimpse of her it was hard to contain our joy! I think that is evident on Christopher's face! :)
It is so wonderful to be the new owners of this fabulous boat!

An hour after she got here, the fog rolled in, but that did not dampen the excitement! It was time to take the captain and cre out for lobsters.

She is on her way home!!!!

After a very speedy purchase and two short visits to our lovely Sweet Ride, we patiently await her arrival in New England. She is being delivered by a crew of three and should be here in about a week. Dreaming about adventures at sea......
